privacy policy

sotto is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. we collect as little as possible and never sell or share what we do collect.

data we do not collect

• we do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
• we do not use analytics or tracking SDKs
• we do not use advertising frameworks
• we do not track your location
• we do not collect device identifiers for profiling

data stored on your device

sotto stores the following data locally on your device only:

• your sound preferences (selected sound, volume, timer settings)
• session history (which sounds you played and for how long)
• appearance settings (light/dark mode preference)

this data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

apple health (healthkit)

sotto can optionally read sleep data from apple health to display alongside your session history. this feature requires your explicit permission.

• sotto only reads sleep analysis data — it never writes to apple health
• sleep data is read on-device and is never transmitted, stored remotely, or shared
• you can revoke health access at any time in the ios settings app

subscriptions

sotto premium subscriptions are processed entirely through apple's app store. we do not have access to your payment information. apple's privacy policy governs these transactions.

third-party services

sotto does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. the only external service used is apple's storekit for subscription management.

children's privacy

sotto does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. since we collect no personal data from any user, we are compliant with COPPA requirements.

changes to this policy

if we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. material changes will be communicated through an app update.
